About this rider

Luc Ackermann shot to fame in 2010 when he became the youngest rider ever to execute a backflip on a motorbike and since then he has established himself as a one of the biggest FMX talents coming through the ranks in Europe, and all while still finishing high school.

2 years later during a packed house at NIGHT of the JUMPs Cologne, Luc set another world record by jumping over 9 meters at the step up contest — a world record for his age group. Luc’s dedication and fearless attitude have made him a regular starter at NIGHT of the JUMPs and even pushed him to a 4th place finish at Red Bull X-Fighters in Munich in 2014, the most successful result for a German rider in X-fighters history.

With a fully equipped compound in the East of Germany and his older brother and fellow FMX star Hannes Ackermann to ride with, Luc is continually pushing the limits and improving his skill and style performing amazing tricks such as the Tsunami Backflip, 360 and Hart Attack Indy Flip. Keep your eye out for the child prodigy in the coming years as he is sure to be one of the biggest new talents to come out of Germany since Fabian Bauersachs.
